Thomas Cecil Cain
“Cecil” Cain of Arcadia, Missouri was born on Monday, December 29, 1919 in Cadet, Missouri a son of the late, Catherine Clara (Courtway) Cain and Thomas Richard Cain. “Cecil” departed this life on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the St. Joe Manor, Bonne Terre, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-seven years, nine months and ten days.
“Cecil” is survived by four sons, Cecil Cain and wife, Joyce of Arcadia, Missouri, Richard Cain and wife, Ruby of Cape Fair, Missouri, Vincent Cain and wife, Joyce of Moscow Mills, Missouri, Bobby Cain and wife, Pat of Dallas, Texas; four daughters, Clara Darrow of Terrell, Texas, JoAnn Boyer of Granite City, Illinois, Shirley Ennis and husband, Stanley of Ashland, Missouri, Mary Radford of Bonne Terre, Missouri; one brother, Roscoe Cain of Dittmer, Missouri; two sisters, Melba Burnia of California, Catherine Revelle and husband, Don of Potosi, Missouri; also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents “Cecil” was preceded in death by three wives, Bessie Cain, Ellen Cain and Alberta Cain, three brothers, Phil Cain, Marvin Cain and Amos Cain.
“Cecil” enjoyed dancing in his younger years. He also loved old cars.
Visitation was held Friday, October 12, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Don Strauser officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Ricky Boyer, Bill Johnson, Richard Boyer, Brian Cain, Johnny Cain and Dean Cain.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
