Virginia Camillo of Mount Olive, Illinois formerly of Irondale, Missouri was born on Monday, July 31, 1916 in St. Louis, Missouri a daughter of the late, Helen (Widmer) Depke and Charles Depke. Virginia departed this life on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at the Heritage Manor, Staunton, Illinois having reached the age of ninety-one years, five months and eight days.

Virginia was united in marriage to Oliver Camillo in October of 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri and this union was blessed with three children.

Virginia is survived by one daughter, Sharon Warden and husband, Eugene of Irondale, Missouri; two sons, Richard Camillo and wife, Helen of Potosi, Missouri, Oliver Charles Camillo and wife, Maria of Mount Olive, Illinois; fifteen grandchildren, Karen Bosen of Mount Olive, Illinois, Tony Camillo and wife, Debbie of Collinsville, Illinois, Donald Camillo of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Joseph Camillo of Collinsville, Illinois, David Camillo and wife, Allison of Brownsburg, Indiana, Karla Miller of Decatur, Illinois, Charles Camillo and wife, Jennifer of Highland, Illinois, Sheila Aubuchon and husband, Mike of Potosi, Missouri, Vicky Johnson and husband, Paul of Potosi, Missouri, Anthony Camillo and wife, Tricia of Potosi, Missouri, Timothy Camillo and wife, Angie of Blackwell, Missouri, Cindy Cramer and husband, Jim of Osage Beach, Missouri, Randy Warden and wife, Jackie of Potosi, Missouri, Mark Warden and wife, Kelly of El Reno, Oklahoma, Chris Warden and wife, Julie of Irondale, Missouri; twenty-eight great grandchildren, Chris Camillo and wife, Michelle of Collinsville, Illinois, John Bosen of Collinsville, Illinois, Joshua Bosen of Mount Olive, Illinois, Rebecca Bosen of Caseyville, Illinois, Justin Camillo of Chicago, Illinois, Mandi Camillo of Collinsville, Illinois, Sheree Camillo of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Ashley Camillo of Aurora, Illinois, Brittany Camillo of Collinsville, Illinois, Brent Camillo of Collinsville, Illinois, Joelle Camillo of Brownsburg, Indiana, Logan Camillo of Brownsburg, Indiana, Daley Miller of Decatur, Illinois, Zach Miller of Decatur, Illinois, Grant, Katie, JD and Aidan Camillo of Highland, Illinois, Andy, Lauren, Matthew Aubuchon of Potosi, Missouri, Emily Camillo of Potosi, Missouri, Josh Camillo of Blackwell, Missouri, Dan Warden and wife, Charity of Irondale, Missouri, Hillary Mosier of Potosi, Missouri, Amber Akers of Potosi, Missouri, Dustin Warden and wife, Amber of El Reno, Oklahoma and Dillon Warden of El Reno, Oklahoma; five great great grandchildren, Kaylee and Sydney Camillo of Collinsville, Illinois, Devon and Skyler Warden of Irondale, Missouri and Catie Mosier of Potosi, Missouri; one brother-in-law, John Camillo and wife, Leona of Cedar Hill, Missouri; Godson, Robert John Callison of Huntingdon, Tennessee; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Camillo, four sisters, Genevieve Heitmann, Rose Geders, Francis Camillo, Sylvia Callison, one brother, Elmer Widmer and one grandson, Richard Camillo, Jr.

Virginia was a very active member of the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri. She was a very loving, caring person who loved giving and helping those in need. Virginia enjoyed looking for four leaf clovers and could always find them, she would press them and pass them on to her family and friends. She was a great cook and made the best milk gravy. Virginia also loved flowers, her favorite being tulips.

Virginia was a remarkable person, not only for her longevity, but also for the intensity and clarity of focus with which she lived her life. She will always be remembered for the love she shared.

Special thanks to the staff of Heritage Manor in Staunton, Illinois especially Becky, her R.N. and to Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton. Their compassion and competency are gratefully appreciated.

Visitation was held Friday, January 11, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, January 12, 2008 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Mass was Celebrated on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri with Father George Galovich officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were: Tony Camillo, Donald Camillo, Chris Warden, Randy Warden, Anthony Camillo, Timothy Camillo and Dan Warden.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
