Carrie Lynn Hays, a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away on December 11 2024, in her hometown of Potosi, Missouri. Born on August 15, 1979. Carrie was a vibrant spirit who touched the lives of many with her kindness.
Carrie is survived by her father, Donnie Marler, of Mineral Point, Missouri and her mother, Janet (Hinkle) Marler of Mineral Point, Missouri. She leaves behind her cherished husband, David Hays of Mineral Point, Missouri, and her two daughters, Kaitlyn Farris and Dalton of Park Hills, MO, and Mallory Brooks of Mineral Point, MO. She is also survived by her three sons, Dylan Todd Hays of Mineral Point, MO, Peyton Hays of Mineral Point, MO, and Braxton Brooks of Mineral Point, MO. Carrie will be deeply missed by her sisters, Brandy Thebeau and Joe from Cadet, MO, Jessica and Nathan Brooks of Farmington, MO and her brother Steven Marler and Rosemary from Mineral Point, MO. Additionally, she is survived by her two grandchildren, Maren and Pierce, who were the light of her life.
Throughout her life, Carrie exemplified a spirit of generosity and compassion. She had a deep love for volunteering and was known for her helping heart, always eager to lend a hand or support those in need. Her passion for singing brought joy to many, and she treasured the moments spent with her family, friends, and especially her grand babies. Carrie was especially known for her heart for kids.
Carrie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Janice Hays, and her father-in-law, James "Jim" Hays.
Carrie's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering commitment to her family and friends, and for the joy she brought to every life she touched.
