Charles Marshall Casteel
Charles M. Casteel of Belgrade, Missouri was born on Friday, December 7, 1923 in Herculaneum, Missouri a son of the late, Minnie Belle (Smith) Casteel and Charles M. Casteel. Charles departed this life on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Potosi Manor, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-four years, two months and fourteen days.
Charles was united in marriage to Goldie Mae Wright on March 17, 1951 in Pocahontas, Arkansas and this union was blessed with three children. He was a World War II veteran and a retired P P G employee.
Charles is survived by one daughter, Karen Casteel of Belgrade, Missouri; two sons, John Casteel and wife, Rhonda of Rockfield, Kentucky, Mark Casteel and wife, Debbie of Festus, Missouri; four grandchildren, Amy Early and husband, Chris of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Emily Dixon and husband, Lee of Knoxville, Tennessee, Matthew Casteel and fiance, Angie of Festus, Missouri, Tracie Sagan and husband, Alan of Barnhart, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Faith Casteel of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Ava Sagan of Barnhart, Missouri. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife, Goldie Casteel, one brother, Glen Casteel and three sisters, Flo Grobe, Lola Eichenberger and Mae Danback.
Charles enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Charles also enjoyed working in his garden. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones.
Visitation was held Sunday, February 24, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Monday, February 25, 2008 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Monday, February 25, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Wendell Nipper officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Wright Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
