Goldie Mae Casteel of Belgrade, Missouri was born in Crystal City, Missouri on February 4, 1930. Goldie departed this life on May 8, 2005 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, having reached the age of seventy-five years, three months, and four days.
Goldie was united in marriage on March 17, 1951 to Charles M. Casteel in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Goldie is survived by her husband; Charles M. Casteel of Belgrade, Missouri, daughter; Karen Casteel of Belgrade, Missouri, two sons; John Casteel and wife Rhonda of Rockfield, Kentucky, Mark Casteel and wife Debbie of Festus, Missouri, four grandchildren; Amy Casteel of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Emily Dixon of Knoxville, Tennessee, Matthew Casteel of Festus, Missouri, Tracie Casteel of Barnhart, Missouri, great granddaughter; Faith Casteel of Bowling Green, Kentucky, sister; Anna Belle Winfrey and husband Carl of St. Louis, Missouri, three brothers; John C. Wright and wife Wilma of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Richard C. Wright and wife Margaret of Festus, Missouri, Samuel B. Wright and wife Sue of Belgrade, Missouri, also many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Goldie was preceded in death by her parents; John and Jeannette (Tindall) Wright.
Goldie loved her family unconditionally, and spending time with all of them, especially the grandchildren gave her great joy. She enjoyed taking care of her home, always keeping it nice and tidy. Goldie also had a passion for going shopping.
Visitation was Wednesday, May 11, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, May 12, 2005 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel in Potosi, Missouri, with Reverend Wendell Nipper officiating.
Burial took place on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 12:30 PM at the Wright Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
