Bessie Viola Chapman (Chapman)

Bessie Viola Chapman of Potosi, Missouri was born February 20, 1926 in Herculaneum, Missouri, a daughter to the late John Chapman and Minnie Alice Baker. Bessie departed this life Tuesday November 24, 2020 having reached the age of 94 years, 9 months and 4 days.
Bessie is survived by her daughters, Barbara Riggs and husband Roger of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Joyce Drayton and Fiancé Dr. Tim Dayton, of Warrenton, Missouri; son, Windell Chapman and wife Lorena of St. Louis, MO; daughter-in-law Ellen Chapman of Potosi, Missouri; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Noah, Bessie was preceded in death by her son, Dwight Lester Chapman.
Bessie loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was blessed with a beautiful singing voice that could fill a room. She loved going to church and sewing, making gifts for her friends and family and stuffed toys for children. Second to church, her favorite place to be was with her family and grandchildren playing board games. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting. She always had a smile and looked for the best in people. Her memory will be cherished by all who loved her.
