Dorothy Lucille Wilkinson Charboneau
Dorothy Lucille Wilkinson Charboneau was born on Sunday, October 2, 1920 in Old Mines, Missouri a daughter of the late Mary Eleesie (Schutte) Boyer and Zedor Francis Boyer. Dorothy departed this life on Sunday, March 25, 2007 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Center, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-six years, five months and twenty-three days.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Luther Lee Edward Wilkinson on November 30, 1938 in Cadet, Missouri and her second marriage was to Lester Lee Charboneau on June 10, 1963 in Cadet, Missouri.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Bethsheba C. Huitt and husband Cecil of Bismarck, Missouri, Lavern F. Harris and husband Jim of Potosi, Missouri; one son, Jerry L. Wilkinson and wife Mary of Potosi, Missouri; one son-in-law, Charles Vance of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Myrtle Russell of St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Harold Boyer of Potosi, Missouri, Leonard Boyer and wife Goldie of Old Mines, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Myrna Boyer of Old Mines, Missouri; special grandson, Gary Gormley of Arnold, Missouri; two step-daughters, Carol and Ruth; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Zedor Boyer, first husband, Luther Lee Edward Wilkinson on September 5, 1962, second husband, Lester Lee Charboneau on January 8, 1997, one daughter, Ruby F. Vance, six sons, Perry H. Wilkinson, Roger Dale Wilkinson, Joseph Mathew Wilkinson, twins: Timmy and Jimmy Wilkinson and an infant son, three sisters, Mary Helen Saunders, Blanche Heifner, Nettie Heifner, two brothers, Glennon Boyer and Orville Boyer, one step-daughter, Bonnie, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
Dorothy was a devout Christian and proud to be of strong faith, and loved reading her Bible. She enjoyed music and listening to her daughters singing at church and benefits. Dorothy loved her family with all her heart, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching soap operas and talking with her many friends on the phone. Dorothy was a wonderful cook; everyone especially loved her biscuits and pumpkin pies.
Visitation was held Tuesday, March 27, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, March 28, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Gene DeClue officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Travis Wilkinson, Leon Wilkinson, Kevin Vance, Chuck Vance, Roger Vance, Gary Gormley, Matt Yarbrough, Michael Fitzwater, Allen Wood and Charles Edward Stark.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the New Diggings Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
