MAVIS CHARBONEAU
MAVIS CHARBONEAU OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN ON MARCH 1ST, 1919 IN CHILTON, MISSOURI. A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE ANDREW "FRANK" AND MARY (ROY) PITTMAN. MAVIS DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON AUGUST 29, 1999, AT WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN POTOSI, AT THE AGE OF 80 YEARS, 5 MONTHS AND 28 DAYS.
MAVIS WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE STEVEN CHARBONEAU ON MAY 4TH, 1938.
MAVIS IS SURVIVED BY ONE BROTHER, DONALD PITTMAN AND WIFE IMOGENE OF POTOSI, MISSOURI. ONE SISTER, LUCILLE SANDERS OF POTOSI, MISSOURI AND MANY NIECES, NEPHEWS, AND OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND SPOUSE SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER STEP-SON, FRANKIE CHARBONEAU AND ONE SISTER, VIOLET EVANS.
MAVIS WAS DEDICATED TO CARING FOR HER HOME AND FAMILY. SHE WAS AN AVID READER OF ALL DIFFERENT TYPES OF BOOKS. SHE ALSO ENJOYED CROCHETING AND SEWING. SHE WILL BE SADLY MISSED AND LOVINGLY REMEMBERED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER.
VISITATION WAS HELD ON MONDAY, AUGUST 30, 1999 AT 5:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED TUESDAY, AUGUST 31, 1999, AT 1:00 P.M. WITH REVEREND STANLEY PAYNE OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE YARBROUGH CEMETERY IN SULLIVAN, MISSOURI UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME OF POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, CLAUDE BERRY, STAN LARSON, ALAN BERRY AND ANDREW PITTMAN.
