Charles William Ayres, Jr. (Billy) of Potosi, Missouri, 65, passed away on May 12, 2024, in Festus, Missouri. He was born on September 3, 1958 in Bonne Terre, Missouri to Charles W. Ayers, Sr. and Norma Watkins married to Elaine Clapp (Ayers) of St. Louis.
Billy was a big hearted compassionate man who loved helping others and was a dog lover. He truly had 9 lives. He was a fighter and overcame many challenges in his life. He had a love for the outdoors. You could find him out tinkering around and fixing broken things. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, swim and hunt. He had a green thumb with the best gardens around. He could draw and paint very well, all with one hand. He also enjoyed cooking cabbage rolls and grilling. He fought so hard all his life doing the simplest things but it never stopped him.
He leaves behind two children, Jeremy Ayres of St. Louis, Tanya Noble (Ayres) and husband Robbie of Dexter, Missouri, four grandchildren, Shawn, Haleigh, Jaydon and Autumn, all of Dexter. Also four sisters, Tammy Whittman of Potosi, Missouri, Bridgette Helm of Puxico, Missouri Bonnie Hendricks of Potosi, Missouri, Lisa Uelsmann of Union, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert ‘Bobby” Ayres and his parents, his death is felt tremendously and he will be missed by all that knew him.
