Valerie Ann Chazelle of Potosi, Missouri was born Monday, February 7, 1949 in Shirley, Missouri a daughter of the late, Lena Bell (Eye) Brewer and Raymond Sterling Brewer. Valerie departed this life on Monday, September 2, 2013 having reached the age of sixty-four years, six months and twenty-six days.
Valerie was united in marriage to Robert Chazelle on October 19, 1964 in Hillsboro, Missouri and this union was blessed with three daughters.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Robert Chazelle of Potosi, Missouri; three daughters, Tammy Finley and husband, Dennis of Potosi, Missouri; Kimberly Douglas and husband, Jim of Mineral Point, Missouri; Bobbi Chazelle and fiancé, Rusty of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Marilyn Waggoner and husband, Leroy of Arnold, Missouri; two brothers, August Brewer and wife, Carol of DeSoto, Missouri; Mike Brewer and wife, Linda of Desloge, Missouri; three grandchildren, Holly Douglas, Dustin Douglas, Megann Finley; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Valerie was preceded in death by one sister, Lyndora Evans and two grandchildren, Maven Loeffel-Chazelle and Spencer Chazelle.
Valerie loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to family gatherings and holidays as she enjoyed cooking for everyone. Valerie will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Valerie are asked to go to the St. Anthony’s Charitable Foundation at 10010 Kennerly Rd., St. Louis, MO 63128-9923.
Visitation was held Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, September 6, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Friday, September 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Rodger Fleming and Pastor Claude Evans officiating. Music was provided by Chala Short and Andy Waggoner.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Honoring the memory of Valerie and serving as Pallbearers were: Marty Evans, Kevin Gilliam, Dennis Eye, Keith Waggoner, Chris Waggoner and Dusty Douglas.
Moore Funeral Homes was Honored to be selected to direct the services for Valerie, her family and friends.
