Alice Sue Coleman of Cadet, Missouri was born on Friday, December 6, 1940 in Washington County, Missouri a daughter of the late, Alice Dora (DeClue) Lucas and Leslie Joseph Lucas. Alice departed this life on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-two years, seven months and twenty-four days.

Alice was united in marriage to James Willis Coleman on May 25, 1957 at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines, Missouri.

Sue as she was known by, is survived by one son, Charles Coleman and wife, Mary of Cadet, Missouri; seven daughters, Debra K. Kostro of Cadet, Missouri, Connie Sue Barley and husband, Alan of Cadet, Missouri, Tina G. Agers of Festus, Missouri, Shelly D. Dierks and boyfriend, Jeff Montgomery of St. Clair, Missouri, Carol A. Peppers of Potosi, Missouri, Christina M. Thompson and husband, Jackie of Viburnum, Missouri, Marlene Benoist and husband, David of Union, Missouri; honorary son, Jim Cwiklowski of St. Louis, Missouri; two sisters, Judy Lucas of Farmington, Missouri, Glenda Box and husband, David of Bourbon, Missouri, three brothers, Frankie Lucas of Sullivan, Missouri, Jessie Lucas and wife, Evelyn of Union, Missouri, Gerald Lucas of St. Clair, Missouri; four sisters-in-law, Rosie Lucas of St. Clair, Missouri, Myrtle Missey of Old Mines, Missouri, Betty Coleman of Blackwell, Missouri, Rachel Coleman of Cadet, Missouri; thirty-four grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Willis “Nean” Coleman of fifty-two years who passed away February 8, 2010, one son, James Leslie Coleman, three sisters, Mildred Boyster, Janet Warthon, Nettie Pettus, one brother, Joseph “Beanie” Lucas, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Sue attended St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri. She enjoyed watching Cardinal’s baseball games, playing bingo, sewing and doing jigsaw puzzles. Sue loved animals especially her guard dog, Stormy. She also enjoyed watching “Days of Our Lives” and listening to country music with her favorite singers being, Brooks and Dunn, Brad Paisley and Rascal Flats. Sue was greatly loved by her family and friends and will be forever missed by all.

Visitation was held Friday, August 2, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Friday, August 2, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Brent Lay, Shawn DeClue, Kaleb DeClue, Dwayne Dierks, Dan Dierks, Josh Dierks, Kenny Moss, Jeremy Politte, Nick Politte, Ryan Politte, Charles Coleman, Jason Peppers, Jacob Peppers, Ryan Barley and Brandon Barley.
