FLORA MAY COLEMAN OF CADET, MISSOURI, WAS BORN DECEMBER 20, 1924, IN FISK, MISSOURI, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JOHN HENRY AND FLORENCE (JOHNSTON) GREER. FLORA DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HER RESIDENCE ON MARCH 16, 1999, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SEVENTY-FOUR YEARS, TWO MONTHS AND TWENTY-SEVEN DAYS.
FLORA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO GLENNON A. COLEMAN ON NOVEMBER 29, 1975 IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI.
FLORA IS SURVIVED BY HER HUSBAND GLENNON A. COLEMAN OF CADET, ONE DAUGHTER KATHY HARBER, OF QUINLAN, TEXAS, TWO STEP-SONS, LARRY COLEMAN AND WIFE PATTY OF POTOSI, RANDY COLEMAN AND WIFE NANCY OF CADET, TWO STEP-DAUGHTERS, GLENDA R. BLAIR AND HUSBAND WAYNE OF POTOSI, WANDA POLITTE AND HUSBAND BILL OF FESTUS, SEVERAL GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, STEP GRANDCHILDREN, STEP GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, THREE BROTHERS, JUNIOR GREER AND WIFE SHIRLEY OF FREDERICKTOWN, CURTIS GREER AND WIFE TWILA OF BEND, OREGON, JIM GREER AND WIFE HELEN OF POPLAR BLUFF, THREE SISTERS, RUBY GOODRUM AND HUSBAND OLLIE OF POPLAR BLUFF, EDNA CASSITY AND HUSBAND IRVIN OF DANVILLE, INDIANA, MARJORIE ANDERSON AND HUSBAND BILL OF RENO, NEVADA, AND BY MANY NIECES, NEPHEWS AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE INFANT DAUGHTER, LINDA SUE MORRIS, ONE BROTHER, HENRY GREER, FOUR SISTERS, VIRGIE COULTER, PAULINE COLEMAN, ELSIE DAUGHERTY AND RUTH GREER.
FLORA LOVED THE GREAT OUTDOORS AND THE MANY GIFTS IT HAD TO OFFER. FLORA WAS AN AVID FLOWER GARDENER, ALWAYS MAKING SURE TO BEAUTIFY THE ROADSIDE BY HER HOME. FLORA HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR CHILDREN AND GREATLY ENJOYED THE TIME DRIVING THE SCHOOL BUS AND FOLLOW UP VISITS WITH THE CHILDREN. FLORA WAS A GREAT COOK AND ENJOYED COOKING FOR HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
FLORA HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR LIFE, FAMILY AND FRIENDS, SHE ENJOYED SPREADING JOY WITH HER GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR.
VISITATION WAS HELD WEDNESDAY, MARCH 17, 1999, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED THURSDAY, MARCH 18, 1999, AT 9:00 A.M. AT THE GUM & SON CHAPEL WITH FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN ASH HILL CEMETERY IN FISK, MO, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
