Helen Ruth Coleman of Potosi, Missouri was born Sunday, July 21, 1929 in Potosi, Missouri a daughter of the late Leona (Hawkins) Isgriggs and Herbert Otto Isgriggs. Ruth was fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church Monday, October 18, 2004 at the Georgian Gardens Care Center, Potosi, Missouri surrounded by the devoted love of her family at the age of Seventy-five years, two months and twenty-eight days.
Ruth was united in marriage to Stanley Coleman on November 2, 1946 in Desloge, Missouri. They were blessed to have four children born to the union.
Ruth is survived by her loving and devoted husband of fifty-seven years, Stanley Coleman of Potosi, Missouri; one daughter, Becky Bequette and Dave Gilmore of Potosi, Missouri; three sons, Jim Coleman and wife Mary Lou of Old Mines, Missouri, Bill Coleman and wife Cherie of Potosi, Missouri, Joe Coleman and wife Melody of Potosi, Missouri; one sister, Dorothy Skaggs of Potosi, Missouri; Twelve grandchildren; Five great grandchildren; special friends, Lillie and Mac Jarvis of Potosi, Missouri and by many other relatives and friends.
Ruth was a member of the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri.
Ruth was a very dedicated wife and mother, she enjoyed spending her days with her children and caring for them in the home. She was always open to the neighborhood children and made sure they were fed and cared for in her home. Ruth loved to prepare and have the entire family over to her table for a special meal or that family gathering. Ruth was always excited when the phone would ring and would spend all the time the caller needed talking about everything.
Ruth never met a stranger and loved to walk around the neighborhood talking and visiting with all. She would relax with a crossword puzzle, watching a game show or taking her afternoon break listening to KYRO swap shop.
Ruth was a kind and loving lady who blessed the life of all who knew her. She was always standing ready to help with open arms and a warm heart.
Visitation for Ruth was held Tuesday, October 19, 2004 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, October 20, 2004 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 Am at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Prayer services was held Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at 6:30 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Father George Galovich officiating.
A Funeral Mass was held Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at 11:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri with Father George Galovich celebrating the Mass. Music was provided by Rebecca Richards.
Final Blessings and Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Dave Gilmore, Nick Bequette, David Lee Gilmore, Mac Jarvis, Jimmy Coleman, Robert Gilmore, Bradley Coleman and Jake Bequette.
Following all services the Family and Friends returned to the St. James Catholic Church Hall where a luncheon, provided by the Parish Family was enjoyed .
Arrangements were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
