Larry Glennon Coleman of Potosi, Missouri was born on Saturday, June 7, 1952 in Bonne Terre, Missouri. A son of the late Pauline (Greer) Coleman and the late, Adrian Coleman. Larry departed this life on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in Steeleville, Missouri, having reached the age of sixty-four years, one month and twenty days.
He was united in marriage to Patty Jaycox, on October 27, 1973 at the First Baptist Church in Potosi, Missouri and were blessed with two children.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Coleman and David McDonald of Ballwin, Missouri; son, Douglas Coleman and Billy Coburn of Potosi, Missouri; two sisters, Glenda and Wayne Blair of Potosi, Missouri; Wanda and Bill Politte of Festus, Missouri; one brother, Randy and Nancy Coleman of Cadet, Missouri; four grandchildren, Nolan, Macy, Coleman “Cole”, Kyla; also surviving are other relatives and many friends.
He worked as a carpenter for many years. Larry was a member of the Lakewood Baptist Church in Potosi, Missouri. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed canning his many vegetables he grew in his garden. He was also an avid baseball fan and always looked forward to watching a baseball game. More than anything, Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids, who were the light of his life. Larry will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 9:00PM and July 31, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Moore Funeral Homes in Potosi, Missouri.
The Funeral Service was held Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 2:00PM in the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Brother Carl Wilson and Brother Alva Enloe officiating.
Interment was Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Lakewood Baptist Cemetery in Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Wyatt Bust, Jacob Jaycox, Randy Sutton, Travis Coleman, Jeff Blair, DeWayne Hensley, Bob Darnell, Jack Dunlap, Woody Jaycox Jr. and Mikey Bone.
Arrangements were made with Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
