Russell Coleman

Russell George Coleman of Cadet, Missouri was born on September 7, 1930 in Cadet, Missouri a son of the late, Rose Beue (Hill) Coleman and James Willis Coleman. Russell departed this life on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Center surrounded by the love and care of all his family, having reached the age of eighty-two years, one month and nineteen days.

Russell was united in marriage to Rachel Merseal on September 14, 1957 at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines, Missouri and were blessed with seven sons.

Russell is survived by his loving wife, Rachel of Cadet, Missouri; six sons, Marty Coleman and wife, Sue of DeSoto, Missouri, Rusty Coleman of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Jeff Coleman of Blackwell, Missouri, Randy Coleman of Cadet, Missouri, Danny Coleman and wife, Rosemary of Cadet, Missouri, Kemmy Coleman and wife who is a very dear and special daughter-in-law, Rhonda of Cadet, Missouri; one sister, Myrtle Missey of Old Mines, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; special daughter-in-law, Pam Coleman of Richwoods, Missouri; nieces, Tina Adgers of Blackwell, Missouri, Sandy Coleman of Potosi, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by one son, Tony Coleman, three sisters, Ethel Davis, Lillian Luther, Edna DeClue, four brothers, Paul Coleman, James Coleman, Leo Coleman and Lawrence Coleman.

Russell was a parishioner of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and mushroom hunting. Russell also enjoyed playing guitar and listening to country music. In his earlier years he dug tiff, cut wood to make cedar posts and enjoyed working on cars and trucks. He was a man of all trades and loved to do anything and everything he could.

Visitation was held Sunday, October 28, 2012 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Monday, October 29, 2012 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Mass of Christian Burial was Celebrated on Monday, October 29, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Marty Coleman, Danny Coleman, Randy Coleman, Kemmy Coleman, Eric Coleman, Dustin Coleman, Deaven Coleman and Matthew Coleman.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
