William Ellis Coleman of Mineral Point, Missouri was born Tuesday, January 11, 1927 in Huzzah, Missouri. He was the son of the late, Delmer Coleman and the late, Edith (Harper) Coleman. Ellis departed this life on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-seven years, eleven months and twenty-one days.
Surviving are son, Randy Coleman of Bradenton, Florida; daughter, Debbie Coleman and husband, Denny Politte of San Diego, California; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Ellis was preceded in death by brother, Eugene "Gene" Coleman.
Ellis ran his own plumbing, electrical and heating business from 1956 to 1960. He worked as the supervisor of the maintenance department at Washington County Memorial Hospital from 1963 to 1999.
Ellis loved to fish, hunt, and go to shooting matches. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and having fish fries. Ellis will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation was held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, January 9, 2015 and from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Moore Memorial Chapel located at 105 Clark Street Potosi, Missouri 63664 with the Reverend Rodger Fleming officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Leroy Jarvis, Denny Politte, Jack Dunlap, Lester Moses, Tim Evans and Ron Moses.
