Paul Conway Sr. of Potosi, Missouri was born on April 6, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri a son of the late, Julie Rose (Tobey) Conway and Thomas Ruby Conway. Paul departed this life on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-nine years, one month and one day.
Paul is survived by his wife, Anita (Martin) Conway of Troy, Missouri; one daughter, Paula Koppelmann and husband, Kevin of Potosi, Missouri; three sons, Paul J. Conway Jr. and Ashlynn Humphrey of Cadet, Missouri, Charles E. Conway and wife, Megan of Ballwin, Missouri, Chris J. Meredith and wife, Cyndi of Cadet, Missouri; six grandchildren, David, Devon, Kimber, Clayton, Rheanna, Hunter and one soon to be, Brayden; two sisters, Emmie Wallen and husband, Dave of Fenton, Missouri, JoAnn Reynolds and husband, Tom of Affton, Missouri; two brothers, Jerry Conway and wife, Glenda of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Al Conway and wife, Liz of Potosi, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Misty Conway of Sikeston, Missouri; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents Paul was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Conway; one son, Paul Dale Conway and one granddaughter, Ashley Conway.
Paul was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church of Potosi. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in his garden, working in the yard and going hunting and fishing. Going on road trips and watching television were a couple of his favorite pastimes. Most of all Paul loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Paul will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held Friday, May 10, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Pastor Don Strauser officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Jarvis Farm Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were David Koppelmann, Devon Conway, Charles Conway, Tommy Reynolds, Al Conway and Chris Meredith. Honorary Pallbearer was Kimber Conway.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
