Donald James Cook, Jr.

Donald James Cook, Jr. of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on Thursday, June 20, 1985 in Farmington, Missouri. Donald departed this life suddenly with his dear and special friend, Eric Huskey on Sunday, October 8, 2006 having reached the age of twenty-one years, three months and eighteen days.

Donald is survived by his mother, Denna (Goodson) Cook and husband Patrick Morrow of Mineral Point, Missouri; father, Donald James Cook, Sr. and wife Patty Cook of Potosi, Missouri; one son, Kaden James Butler of Richwoods, Missouri; three sisters, Donna Lynn Reichenbach and husband Beau of Ironton, Missouri, April Missey and friend Derrick Boyer of Potosi, Missouri, Heather Kail and husband James of Cuba, Missouri; four brothers, Billy Cook and wife MeLanie of Potosi, Missouri, Rocky Cook of Mineral Point, Missouri, Jeremy Missey and fiancé Renda Robertson of Potosi, Missouri, Jacob Martin of Potosi, Missouri; maternal grandfather, William Goodson of Mineral Point, Missouri; Godparents, Brenda and Rick Huskey of Ironton, Missouri; three nieces, Isabelle Cook, Peyton Kail, Aubree Boyer, seven nephews, Holden and Zander Reichenbach, Aidan Cook, C.J., Dillion and Dakota Valley, Tony Robertson, special friend, Randy of Potosi, Missouri, also surviving are other relatives and friends. Donald was preceded in death by maternal grandmother, Janet Goodson, paternal grandparents, Emma Lou Downard and Allen Joseph Cook, Sr.

To many Donald was known as “Duck”, he was always enjoying life and loved being with friends and family. He enjoyed playing chess, card games, hunting, basketball and working on cars. Donald loved to listen to his favorite band “Flogging Molly”.

Visitation was held Tuesday, October 10, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, October 11, 2006 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Wayne Kean officiating. Honoring Donald by serving as pallbearers were; Billy Cook, Rocky Cook, Jacob Martin, Beau Reichenbach, Ricky Politte, Matt Goodson, Travis Goodson, Mike Woodruff, Joe Cook and Irvin Cook.

Final Prayers and burial took place in the New Diggins, Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
