Roberta Sylvia Cooper
Roberta Cooper of Leadington, Missouri was born on Thursday, May 4, 1922 in Old Mines, Missouri a daughter of the late Mary Cornelia (Dean) Courtois and Joseph Anthony Courtois. Roberta departed this life on Friday, February 16, 2007 at the St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-four years, nine months and twelve days.
Roberta was united in marriage to Neil Cooper on February 8, 1995 in Potosi, Missouri.
Roberta is survived by her loving husband, Neil Cooper of Leadington, Missouri; one daughter, Paula McKinney and husband Dr. Bill McKinney of Belleview, Missouri; one brother, Harold Courtois and wife Patsy of Mineral Point, Missouri; and two grandchildren, Emily Parker and husband Brian of Chicago, Illinois and Bryan McKinney of Chicago, Illinois. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Joseph Courtois, three brothers, Jack Courtois, George Courtois, Bernard Courtois, four sisters, Stella Boehm, Lucille Evans, Louise Bone and Alberta Maxwell.
Roberta was a very dedicated member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Park Hills, Missouri. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo and in Roberta’s younger years she loved to play golf and go dancing.
Visitation was held Sunday, February 18, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, February 19, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Park Hills, Missouri with Father Jim French officiating.
Final prayers and burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were John Courtois, Tony Courtois, Randy Davis, Robert Foshee, Jason Thompson, Brian Parker, Bill Henderson and George Neckerman.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
