David Courtaway

David Thomas Courtaway of Cadet, Missouri, was born July 9, 1963, in Festus, Missouri, a son of the late James Edward and Mayme Cornelia (Merseal) Courtaway. David departed this life December 1, 2018, having reached the age of 55 Years, 4 Months and 22 Days.
David is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Krystal Baxter and husband Joe of St. Clair, MO, two sons, Dustin Courtaway and Matthew Courtaway, three sisters, Pamela Courtaway of Potosi, MO, Kimberly Dickey and husband Kent of Potosi, MO, Tina Courtaway of Blackwell, MO, three grandchildren, Madilynn, Landen and Evalynn, nieces and nephews, Scotti, Erin, Kyle and wife Tiffani, Ryan and wife Allison and Cody.
David was a member of St. Joachim Catholic Church and the Washington County Knights of Columbus, Old Mines. He was very active with the K of C and very dedicated to all of its activities. David was always smiling and shared that smile with everyone he met. During his recent activities David spent a lot of time in facebook jail and always joked about it. He enjoyed spending time with both family and friends and especially fishing with his grandchildren. His most loved holiday was Groundhog Day. David was very fortunate and very proud of his daughter and their love for each other. He texted her every day to say hi and I love you.
