Jimmy H. Cresswell
Jimmy Hargus Cresswell of Potosi, Missouri was born on Monday July 14, 1952 in Mineral Point, Missouri a son of the late Ida (Paul) Cresswell and Eugene Cresswell. Jimmy departed this life at his home on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at the age of Fifty-four years, Four months and Two Days.
Jimmy was united in marriage to Sherrie Nicholson on December 14, 1974 in Mineral Point, Missouri. They were blessed to have one son born to the union.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of thirty-one years Sherrie Cresswell of Potosi, Missouri, one son, Larry Cresswell and Fiancé Liz Klinkhamer of St. Louis, Missouri, one sister, Janet Vandergriff and husband Clarence of Nixa, Missouri, three brothers, Harold Cresswell and wife Joann of Lampe, Missouri, Rodney Cresswell of Potosi, Missouri, Jeff Cresswell and wife Michelle of Bismarck, Missouri, Mother-in-law, Juanita Nicholson of Potosi, Missouri, Sisters-in-law, Robin Boyer and husband Billy Joe of Potosi, Missouri, Lisa White and husband Tim of Potosi, Missouri, Brother-in-law, Danny Boyer of Potosi, Missouri, his loving peak a poo, Molly and by many other relatives and dear and special friends. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Cresswell and Gary Cresswell, his grandparents Buford and Janey Paul who raised Jim most of his life, Father-in-law, Dale E. Nicholson, Sister-in-law, Tammy Nicholson Boyer, Uncle, Stanley Paul and his beloved pet and best friend, Brandy Dale Cresswell his dear and special peak a poo .
Jimmy was a member of the Potosi United Methodist Church, Potosi, Missouri
Jimmy was a member of the DeSoto Amvets, DeSoto, Missouri. He loved spending time working on the farm and watching after the animals. Throughout his career, Jim drove every type of truck imaginable. Whether hauling concrete, food or minerals, few people could handle a rig like Jim. His favorite time behind the wheel was spent working for his father-in-law Dale, driving those old Mack trucks. He was always ready for a road ride and made sure Brandy Dale and Molly were ready to go with him. In recent years he devoted his time to Brandy Dale and Molly and they were by his side anywhere he would go.
Visitation was held Saturday, November 18, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday, November 19, 2006 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral Service was held Sunday, November 19, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Burial was in the Nicholson Family Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Scott Bailey, Adam Boyer, Jason Cresswell, Allen Cresswell, Shane Johnson, Marty Yount, Craig Cresswell and Brian Cresswell.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
