Robert “Bob” Elliott Crews
Robert “Bob” Crews of Potosi, Missouri was born on Wednesday, February 18, 1925 in Fayette, Missouri, the son of the late Opal (Avery) Crews and Elliott W. Crews. “Bob” departed this life on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at the Potosi Manor in Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-two years, one month and two days.
“Bob” was united in marriage to Edwina Sue Parks on October 13, 1961 in Potosi, Missouri.
“Bob” is survived by his loving wife, Edwina Sue Crews of Potosi, Missouri; one son, Dennis Michael Crews and wife Melissa O’Neal-Crews of West Bath, Maine; four grandchildren, Elliott Crews, twins, Audrey and Edward Crews and Delaney Crews. In addition to Robert’s parents he was preceded in death by one son, Edward Elliott Crews.
“Bob” attended the United Methodist Church, Potosi, Missouri. Bob received his Bachelors of Arts from Central Methodist College, Fayette, Missouri and then his Masters in Education from Missouri University, Columbia, Missouri. He was a teacher at Potosi High School, Potosi, Missouri, retiring after twenty-five years. “Bob” loved traveling all over the world and taking trips to visit his grandchildren. He enjoyed reading, mostly history books and playing his piano.
Visitation was held Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday, March 23, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Friday, March 23, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Jerry Compton officiating.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
