John Elbert Cross
John Elbert Cross of Springfield, Missouri was born in Ironton, Missouri on Monday, July 21, 1952 a son of Wilda Louise (Roy) Cross and the late Charles Lindel Cross.. John departed this life on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at his home five months after being diagnosed with cancer. John was Fifty-two years, Eight months and Twenty-seven days of age at the time of his death.
John is survived by his wife Connie Smith of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Carrie Howell and husband Billy of Irving, Texas; two grandchildren, Cameron Anthony Howell and Noah Cross Howell both of Irving, Texas; mother, Wilda Louise Cross of Ranger, Texas; Two brothers, David Cross of Ranger, Texas, Gary Cross and wife Penny of Stephenville, Texas and by many other relatives and dear friends.
John was happily retired from Associated Wholesale Grocers. A member of AA, he lived the 12-step life for the last Twenty-two years.
A memorial visitation was held Thursday, April 21, 2005 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Memorial Funeral Service was held Thursday, April 21, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
