Cyrilla was a pillar of the community and touched many lives. She retired from the Kingston K-14 School district and inspired many children throughout her career. She also acted as a mother to many children. In addition to teaching at Kingston K-14 she taught computer classes at the Mineral Area College outreach center in Potosi. She had a strong faith in Christ, her Savior, and was a faithful member of St. Joachim Catholic Church. She loved local history and could tell you anything about Old Mines and could speak “Paw Paw French”, a fading dialect in the Old Mines area. Cyrilla had a heart of gold and could always be counted on in times of need. She dedicated her life to helping and serving others, never asking for anything in return. Her service to the community and love of people will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
