Billie Lee Daniel
Billie Daniel of Potosi, Missouri was born on April 25, 1935 in Washington, Missouri a daughter of the late, Lillie May (Mills) Scott and Milton Frank Peters. Billie departed this life on June 17, 2008 at her residence having reached the age of seventy-three years, one month and twenty-three days.
Billie was united in marriage to Ronald “Ronnie” Daniel on August 2, 1977 in Monroe City, Missouri.
Billie is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Daniel of Potosi, Missouri; one son, Dewayne Skelton of Potosi, Missouri; one step-daughter, Tammy Wilson of Ohio; two brothers, Boots Peters of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Mike Scott and wife, Barbara of Biloxi, Mississippi; two sisters, Shirley Martin of Columbia, Missouri, Judith Dwyer and husband, Bill of St. Louis, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Laren, Stephanie, Maggie, Aimee, Chris, Steven, Daniel and Katie, five great grandchildren; also surviving are seven nieces and nephews, many other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents, Billie was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Ray Skelton.
Billie loved having her family and friends over for barbeques and to go swimming. She enjoyed working in her garden, taking care of her house and working in the yard. Billie also enjoyed spending time outdoors, going on float trips, yard sales and playing cards. She will be forever loved by her family and many friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday, June 18, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, June 19, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Chuck Hampton, Matt Jackson, Todd Jones, John Whitney, Dwain Taylor and Jim Prather.
A Funeral Service was held Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 12:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Wayne Trousdale officiating.
Final prayers and burial took place in the New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
