Jones of Potosi; six grandchildren, Kayla, Tayler, Ashley-Dawn, Sommer, Christain, Jesse; five brothers, John Dean and wife, Terry of Blackwell, Edward Dean and wife, Donna of St. Louis, Ronald Dean and wife, Sonya of Kansas City, Raymond Boyer and wife, Brenda of Texas, Vincent Boyer and wife, Debbie of Cadet; four sisters, Glenda Hopkins and husband, Harry of Cadet, Alice Chambliss and husband, Mike of Minnesota, Mary Kay Vandergriff and husband, Eddie of Cadet, Carolyn Kincaid and husband, Randy of Cadet; one uncle and aunt, Al and Lil Sellers of Sullivan; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
“Banjo” worked for many years as an auto mechanic and HVAC-Certified Technician in heating, cooling and refrigeration and also received many degrees in work. He also had a great love for fishing, hunting and was always tinkering or fixing something. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
My Father, Cecil J. Dean or “Banjo” was the smartest man I have ever known. He never finished high school but went on to get many college degrees. He could fix anything he set his mind to and would always help anyone that he could. That’s why he lived as long as he did. The doctor wrote him off to not make three years, but God had a better plan and now he is with God. We will miss and love “Banjo” forever. (Darrell)
