ROY JAMES DEAN
ROY JAMES DEAN OF MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI, WAS BORN SEPTEMBER 2, 1933, IN CADET, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE THOMAS DAILY AND MAGGIE (TROKEY) DEAN. ROY DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL ON JULY 7, 2000, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY-SIX YEARS, TEN MONTHS AND FIVE DAYS.
ROY IS SURVIVED BY ONE SISTER, LILLIAN SELLERS AND HUSBAND AL OF SULLIVAN AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY THREE SISTERS, AGNES SCHNIDEWIND, CECILIA CARTER AND MARGARET BOURBON AND BY THREE BROTHERS, AUGUSTA DEAN, CECIL DEAN AND ANDREW DEAN.
ROY ACCEPTED CHRIST AS HIS PERSONAL SAVIOR AND WAS A MEMBER OF ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH.
VISITATION WAS HELD SUNDAY, JULY 9, 2000, FROM 9:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M. AT MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED SUNDAY, JULY 9, 2000, AT 12:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE CHAPEL WITH FATHER GEORGE GALOVICH OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, CHRIS CHRISTOPHER, JOHNNY DEAN, GARY DAVIS, LARRY DAVIS, JESSE DAVIS AND CLARENCE BOURBON.
