Donald “Spinner” DeClue, of Potosi, Missouri, was born October 4, 1960, in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of the late George William and Mary Ellen (Landers) DeClue. Spinner departed this life March 1, 2018, having reached the age of Fifty-Seven Years, Four Months and Twenty-Five Days.
Spinner is survived by three brothers, Elmer DeClue and wife Peggy of Robertsville, Gary DeClue of Lonedell and Eddie DeClue and wife Donna of St. Claire, two step sister, Darlene Mertz and Shirley Hogue, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents Spinner was also preceded in death by five brothers, Steve DeClue, Bob DeClue, Bill DeClue, Raymond DeClue, Jonny DeClue, two sisters, Norma Smith and Kathy Barton and three step brothers, Daniel DeClue, Francis DeClue and Leroy DeClue, one step sister, Joyce.
Spinner had accepted Christ as his savior and was very dedicated to the reading and teachings of the Bible. He enjoyed going to the Potosi United Pentecostal Church with his Church Family. Spinner was always visiting with his many friends in the area. He enjoyed his time spent with his family. Spinner’s last request was to pass on a great saying, “Rejoice for me, weep for yourself.”
Visitation for Spinner was held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home.
