Lucy L. DeClue
Lucy L. DeClue of Potosi, Missouri was born on Monday, July 23, 1917 in Richwoods, Missouri a daughter of the late Mary Justine (Flynn) DeClue and James Frederick DeClue. Lucy departed this life at her residence on Thursday, June 14, 2007 having reached the age of eighty-nine years, ten months and twenty-two days.
Lucy is survived by her loving daughter, Pat Bone and husband Kenny of Old Mines; five grandchildren, Kim Barnfield and husband Linus, Tim Bone and wife Peggy, Tina Owen and husband Bob, Kraig Bone and wife Carolyn, Kelly Noeth and husband Brian; nine great-grandchildren, Ashten, Lauren, Marissa, Madalyn, Sarah, Alex, Jacob, Zach and Gracie. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Nellie Welker, two brothers, Luke DeClue and David DeClue.
Lucy attended the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing yard work and taking care of her flowers. Lucy was a member of the St. Ann’s Sodality Society and an officer in the Union at Brown Shoe Factory. She was very active and always had something to do. Lucy loved cats, cooking and spending time with her family.
Visitation was held Friday, June 15, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, June 16, 2007 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri with Father George Galovich officiating, and assisted by granddaughters Ashten Barnfield and Lauren Noeth as altar attendants.
Pallbearers were; Tim Bone, Kraig Bone, Linus Barnfield, Bob Owen, Brian Noeth, Alex Greif, Zach Greif, and Michael Vance.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
