Lucy Alma DeClue of Old Mines, Missouri was born on September 5, 1920 in Cadet, Missouri a daughter of the late, Mary Grace (Bequette) Pashia and the late, Wilfred J. Pashia. Lucy Alma departed this life on December 20, 2016 at the Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus, Missouri having reached the age of ninty-six years, three months and fifteen days.
Lucy Alma was united in marriage to Thomas Curtis DeClue on June 8, 1940 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri and they were blessed with nine children.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth DeClue and wife, Janet of House Springs, Missouri; Thomas DeClue Jr. of Fenton, Missouri; five daughters, Diann DeClue of Cedar Hill, Missouri; Darlene Chambers of Old Mines, Missouri; Deborah DeClue of Potosi, Missouri; Dena Hill of St. Clair, Missouri; Dee Ann Politte of Festus, Missouri; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents Lucy Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Curtis DeClue, two daughters, Doris Price, Donna Gardner, four sisters, Kathleen (Tom) Davis, Veronica (Bill) Smith, Zita (Melvin) Doney, Loretta (Harold) Koester, five brothers, Timothy (Irene) Pashia, Cecil (Charlene) Pashia, Michael (Shirley) Pashia, Adrian Pashia and Maurice (Faye) Pashia.
Lucy Alma was a parishioner of the St. Joachim Catholic Church. She loved attending mass, singing in the choir and attending the church picnic every year. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their reunions, get-togethers and always looked forward to entertaining them. Lucy Alma also enjoyed playing poker, going on train rides and dancing in her younger years. She was a very loving, caring, compassionate woman who will be remembered for the love and laughter she shared with all.
Visitation was held Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Tony Dattilo officiating.
Final prayers and burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Old Mines, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Daron DeClue, Jeremy Ehlen, Robert Putnam, Joseph Politte II, Jacob Politte, Kevin Chambers and Chris Hackworth.
