Delana Stringer

        Delana Louise (Middleton) Stringer of Potosi, Missouri was born December 1, 1949 in Ironton, Missouri a daughter to the late Elmer Middleton and Lou Etta (Thompson) Middleton. Delana departed this life Monday, November 21, 2022 having reached the age of 72 years, 11 months and 20 days.

        On May 3, 1969, Delana was united in marriage to the late Ralph Stringer. Ralph preceded Delana in death on April 17, 2010.

        Those left to cherish the loving memories of Delana include her daughters, Lisa Phegley and husband Tim of Potosi, Missouri, Melissa Rios and husband Javier of Bonne Terre; sister, Portia Boyer and husband David of Potosi, Missouri; brother, Tim Middleton and wife Connie of Potosi, Missouri; grandchildren, Lauren Lee and husband Dre, Clarissa Gould and husband Jacob, Carly LeSage and husband Alex, Molly Clements; great grandchildren, Brendon, Allistair, Roland and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and dear and special friends.

        In addition to her parents and husband, Delana was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Silvers and precious granddaughter, Susie Clements.

        First and foremost, Delana loved her Lord and Savior. Reading her Bible and being alone with Jesus brought her great peace. She kept her friends and family in her prayers. She spent many years studying the Bible and she shared his Word where ever she went. She loved helping others and that love extended into her daily work at the school. She deeply cared for the students and always offered kind words and warm hugs. Delana cherished spending time with her family and enjoyed cooking and baking for others. No matter the task, her golden heart always shined. She offered her help out of pure love, never asking for anything in return. The loving memories she left behind will continue to bring comfort to those she loved.
