Elnora Eileen Dickey-Olsen
Elnora Dickey-Olsen of Potosi, Missouri was born in Mineral Point, Missouri on December 18, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Della Mary (Walton) Elsey. Elnora departed this life on May 2, 2005 at Potosi Manor in Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of ninety years, five months, and fifteen days.
Elnora is survived by two daughters; Shirley DeClue and husband Mel, of Columbia, Missouri, Faye Hamilton of St. Louis, Missouri, two sons; Robert Dickey and wife Alice of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Richard Dickey and wife Catherine of Potosi, Missouri, two sisters; Mary Alice Thompson of Sparta, Illinois, Ada Ruth Miller of Potosi, Missouri, brother; Calvin Elsey of Potosi, Missouri, fifteen grandchildren, thirty-eight great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren. Elnora was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; Lacy Merlin Dickey on August 12, 1965, Kenneth G. Olsen on February 17, 1992, brother; Walton Elsey, grandchild; Sandy Nicholson, and son-in-law; Larry Hamilton.
Elnora was a long time member of the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri where she was very active in its many activities.
Elnora enjoyed taking long walks in the mountains looking for treasures of mother nature and wildlife. She was always on the go traveling from place to place seeing the many beautiful sites of the world. Elnora loved to cook for her family and friends, and spending time with them.
A Memorial Reception was held Wednesday, May 4, 2005 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, May 5, 2005 from 8:30 AM to 9:40 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was Celebrated Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating. Music was provided by the St. Joachim Church Choir.
Burial was in the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri on Thursday, May 5, 2005. Following the Services the family and friends had a fellowship lunch at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Old Mines, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
