Johnny Dobbs, Jr. of Cadet, Missouri was born on August 9, 1972 in Fletcher, Missouri and departed this life on August 15, 2008 at the St. Anthony’s Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of thirty-six years and six days.

Johnny was united in marriage to Stephanie Hord on May 29, 2004 in Cadet, Missouri.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Stephanie Dobbs of Cadet, Missouri; one daughter, Melissa Dobbs of Cadet, Missouri; one son, Brandon Dobbs of Cadet, Missouri; mother and father, Genevieve (Courtway) Dobbs and Johnny J. Dobbs, Sr. of Cadet, Missouri; thirteen sisters, Ida Jane Drennen and husband, Robert of Cadet, Missouri, Paula Young and husband, Jerry of Potosi, Missouri, Betty Drennen and husband, Virgil, Sr. of Cadet, Missouri, Gidget Ratliff and husband, Carter, Jr. of Cadet, Missouri, Viola Ruble and husband, Robert of Cadet, Missouri, Christy Farris and husband, Mike of Potosi, Missouri, Vivian Berry of Arnold, Missouri, Chrissy Dobbs of Arkansas, Debra Franklin of Peoria, Illinois, Shelly Lambert of Pekin, Illinois, JoAnn Moore and husband, Scott of Virginia, Gina Dobbs of Pekin, Illinois, Karen Tatum of Cadet, Missouri; four brothers, Spankey Courtway and wife, Peggy of Cadet, Missouri, Billy Joe Dobbs of Cadet, Missouri, Tommy Joseph Dobbs of Potosi, Missouri, Danny Dobbs and wife, Lori of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Sheila Hord and Danny Conklin of Catawissa, Missouri; four sisters-in-law, Robin Coffman of Cadet, Missouri, Susan LaMar of St. Louis, Missouri, Samantha LaMar of Festus, Missouri, Anna LaMar of Birchtree, Missouri; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Johnny was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Gulden and one brother-in-law, Davie Light.

Johnny or “John Boy” as his family and many friends called him, enjoyed large get togethers and barbequing. He loved spending time with his family and friends. “John Boy” enjoyed four wheeling, driving thru mud runs and taking care of his dogs. He loved music and listening to all types, watching television especially wrestling, That 70’s Show, Little House on the Prairie and Jerry Springer. “John Boy” will be greatly missed by all of his family and many friends.

A Memorial Visitation was held Friday, August 22, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM with a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Jim Wade officiating.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
