William Michael Dodson of Potosi, Missouri was born Tuesday, October 4, 1966 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a son of Anna Bell Parson Huff and the late William Harrison Dodson. Mike departed this suddenly on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at the age of Forty-one Years and Twenty-four Days.
Mike is survived by his mother, Anna Bell “Sissy” Huff of Potosi, Missouri; two daughters, Cristen Bryan and husband Nicholas of Potosi, Missouri and her mother Crystal Courtouis of Belgrade, Missouri, Natashea Nikole Bourbon and friend Cody Ferrell of Irondale, Missouri, and her mother Rhonda Bourbon of Potosi, Missouri; one son, Joseph Nichelson of Potosi, Missouri; two sisters, Donna Benson of Potosi, Missouri, Sherry Cresswell of Potosi, Missouri; two grandchildren Emily and Alexander; a special and dear friend, Rose Mary Bradley of Cadet, Missouri and her children, Connie Bradley and Pam Krammer; and by many dear and special friends.
Mike had a great love for life and enjoyed each and every day. He felt a special bond to each of his family and friends and tried to let everyone know they were special to him. He loved to go mud racing and to the stock car races. He enjoyed spending time listening to karaoke, especially if Tashea was singing. Mike had worked in the area for many years as a carpet installer and lately worked for the Toon Trucking Company. He loved his truck and enjoyed driving and cleaning it. Mike loved spending time with his family and friends visiting and sharing stories, he was always the first one to come in someone’s time of need.
Visitation was held Wednesday, October 31, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri. A memorial service was held Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 7:30 PM by the Potosi Elks Lodge #2218, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial was in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Floyd Parsons, Jr., Mark Kay, Larry Bourbon, Mark Riddle, Cody Ferrell, Ronald Fitzwater, David Sutton and Ed Mackley. Honorary Pallbearers were Rand Shephard, Bryon Bourbon, Terry Fitzwater, Kirk Gorham, Dennis Blount, Rodney Cresswell, Andrew Fitzwater and C.J. Skaggs.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
