Donald Tony Byers

November 21, 1934 — February 18, 2025

   Donald Tony Byers, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on November 21, 1934, in Mineral Point, Missouri, Donald lived a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and a deep affection for his family and friends. He owned and operated Don Buyers Tape and Painting for over fifty years, and loved playing music with his band. 

   Donald is survived by his two daughters, Nancy Bowles and Doug of Park Hills, Missouri, and Carol Stengel of De Soto, Missouri and special friend, Viola Maness. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Casey (Cord), Jeremy (Faith), Aaron (Annabelle), and Jarod (Melissa). He was also blessed with great-grandchildren, including Treydon, Braelynn, Bryson, Winston, Gannon, Cali, Kendal, Kylie, Claire, Madelyn, and Thomas.

   He faced the world with the support of his brother, Byron Byers, and his wife Kim, who reside in Festus, Missouri.

   Preceding him in death were his cherished wife, Ruby (Whitter) Byers, whose love and companionship he treasured throughout their years together, as well as his parents, Delia (Rowland) Byers and Arch Byers. Donald is also proceeded in death by his sisters, Kathleen "Kay" Westbrook-Boyer, Sybil Winkleman, Glenna Isgrig, and Judy Cooper; as well as his brothers, Earl, Arch, and Roger Byers.

   Donald's warmth and unwavering commitment to his loved ones were hallmarks of his character. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will be remembered fondly in the hearts of his family and friends.
