Dale Joseph “Doodle Bug” Dunivan of Belleville, Illinois was born on Thursday, May 18, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Belleville Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Illinois having reached the age of forty-four years, three months and fifteen days.
Dale is survived by his mother and father, Carolyn Sue (Chiles) James and Gene James of Cadet, Missouri; three brothers, Donald Dunivan and wife, Shelly of Dowagiac, Michigan, Darrell Dunivan and wife, Patty of Hillsboro, Missouri, Geno Dunivan and wife, Teresa of Cadet, Missouri; three stepbrothers, Jeff James and wife, Angie of Lemay, Missouri, Kevin James and wife, Angie of Piedmont, Missouri, Brad James and fiancé, Tina of Potosi, Missouri; his life partner, Linda Bell of Belleville, Illinois; her sons, Cliff Bell of Belleville, Illinois, Rick Bell of Collinsville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Olivia Bell and Haley Bell; maternal grandparents, Emma and Amos Griggs of Potosi, Missouri; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his biological father, Donald Gene Dunivan.
Dale or as his family and friends called him “Doodle Bug” loved spending time barbequing and going to family gatherings. He enjoyed watching television and stockcar racing. Dale will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Brother Elijah Bennett and Brother Kenneth Stroup officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, Bloomfield, Missouri with Brother Junior Bennett and Brother Kenneth Stroup officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Jody Elledge, Joey Ervin, Daniel Dunivan, Cliff Bell, Melvin Mabery, Randy Sturgeon, Jerry Milmaker, Bradley James and Kevin James.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
