Vernna Ruth Effinger of Hillsboro, Missouri was born on Sunday, December 30, 1956 in Hillsboro, Missouri and departed this life on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City, Missouri having reached the age of fifty-four years, four months and ten days.
Ruth was united in marriage to Robert Wayne Effinger on July 21, 1979 in Cadet, Missouri and were blessed with three children.
Ruth is survived by one son, Robert V. Effinger of Hillsboro, Missouri; two daughters, Rebecca Fox and husband, Phil of Texas, Sarah Gamble and husband, Peter of Cadet, Missouri; mother, Edna (Bone) Schroeder of Hillsboro, Missouri; three sisters, Juanita Schroeder of Hillsboro, Missouri, Sandy Thompson and husband, Steven of Hillsboro, Missouri, Beverly Schroeder of Hillsboro, Missouri; six grandchildren, Phil and wife, Pam Fox, Jacob Fox of Texas, Samuel Gamble, Abigail Gamble, Katelyn Gamble of Cadet, Missouri, April Davis and husband, Nolan of Garland, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Dunkin Davis, James Davis, Erik Prano, Oscar Prano, Sarah Prano and Issac Prano; also surviving are other relatives, many friends including her church family and good neighbors. Ruth was preceded in death by her father, Vernon E. Schroeder, (March 29, 1992), and her husband, Robert W. Effinger, (February 24, 2002).
Ruth was a very active member of the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, Cadet, Missouri. She loved her Christian Faith and being able to pass her love and knowledge of God to her Sunday School Class. Ruth shared her love for children by caring for them during their recovery at Shriners Hospital. She had a wonderful voice and loved playing piano and guitar for the glory of her Lord and Savior. Ruth also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her goal in life was to put a smile on everyone’s face and for them to love God.
Visitation was held Friday, May 13, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with her Son, Robert V. Effinger officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Robert Effinger, Jacob Fox, Peter Gamble, Steve Thompson, Sr., Steve Thompson, Jr., James Mareschal III, Abigail Gamble, Pat Gamble, Jason Politte, Terry Purcell, Harry Gamble and Don Gamble.
Final Prayers and Burial to place in the New Diggins Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
