Raymond "Tar Baby" Emily

Raymond “Tar Baby” Emily of Potosi, Missouri was born on Monday, December 20, 1937 in Cadet, Missouri a son of the late, Martha Ellen (Trokey) Emily and John Andrew Emily. Raymond departed this life on Monday, August 27, 2012 at his residence having reached the age of seventy-four years, eight months and seven days.
Raymond is survived by four daughters, Kathy Emily of Moberly, Missouri, Giget Price and husband, Vincent, Sr. of Potosi, Missouri, Tina Clapp and husband, Jeff of Cadet, Missouri, Trula Brown of DeSloge, Missouri; one son, Eddie Emily of Potosi, Missouri; three sisters, Suzy Nash of Cadet, Missouri, Bobbi Martin of Mineral Point, Missouri, Darla Sansoucie of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Joseph Vernon Emily of Irondale, Missouri, Donnie Emily of Hopewell, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, “Tar Baby” was preceded in death by two daughters, Malinda Emily, Linda Emily, one sister, Joann Emily, two brothers, Joey Emily and Jimmy Emily.
“Tar Baby” loved to tinker on cars and go fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Brother Robert Nash officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Jesse Garcia, Kathy Emily, Gigit Price, Tyler Bergner, Danny Hollinsworth and Robert Janssen.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Emily Cemetery, Hopewell, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
