Eric Michael Massey

   Eric Michael Massey, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend, passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on August 1, 1977, in St. Louis, Missouri, Eric was known for his fun-loving, family-oriented personality and his deep affection for those around him. Eric was united in marriage to Tara (Crittendon) Massey on June 12, 2009 and they shared 15 wonderful years together.

   Eric cherished every moment spent with his family and friends. He took great pride in being a father and grandfather, a role he considered his proudest accomplishment. He is survived by his devoted wife, Tara A. Massey: daughters Marissa Wilson and her husband Aaron of Dittmer, MO, and Haylen Crittendon-Paule of High Ridge, MO; son, Dylan Massey of Fenton, MO. Eric was also a loving grandfather to his grandchildren, Jada Wilson, Camella Wilson and Christian Wilson. His legacy of love will continue to thrive in the hearts of his family.

   In addition to his immediate family, Eric is survived by his brother, Nicholas Massey, and his wife Amanda, both of Fenton, MO; his mother, Cindy Massey of Fenton, MO; father-in-law John T. Crittendon; brother-in-law Tyson Crittendon of High Ridge, MO; the mother of Marissa and Dylan, Cathy Allen of Pevely, MO; and many other relatives and dear friends who will miss his joyful spirit.

   Eric's hobbies and interests reflected his vibrant personality. He loved playing darts, racing fast cars, indulging in the excitement of RC car racing, and enjoying quiet evenings watching television with his family. Eric always look forward to vacations on the beach and at the lake with family. He was always ready to go to a Saint Louis Cardinal Baseball game. Dining out with friends brought him immense joy, adding to the countless memories he created over the years.

   Eric was preceded in death by his father, David Massey, Sr.; brother, David Massey, Jr.; granddaughter, Bliss Wilson; sister-in-law, Nicole Crittendon; mother-in-law, Sandra Crittendon; and nephew, Jeromy Massey. His loss is deeply felt, but his memory will forever remain etched in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

   Eric leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be celebrated by his family and friends for years to come.
