Dorothy Mae Eubanks of Potosi, Missouri was born on Sunday, April 8, 1928 in Belgrade, Missouri a daughter of the late, Mary I. (Laramore) Marler and Noah Marler. Dorothy departed this life on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at her residence having reached the age of seventy-nine years, eleven months and nineteen days.

Dorothy was united in marriage to C.W. “Ben” Eubanks on June 6, 1947 in Potosi, Missouri.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Barbara Gail Craig and husband David of Potosi, Missouri; one son, Kevin Wayne Eubanks and wife Debbie of Park Hills, Missouri; two grandchildren, Stacey Madsen of Vallejo, California, Rebecca Trueblood of Potosi, Missouri; three step-grandchildren, Karen Marler and husband Dan of Potosi, Missouri, Debra Koch and husband John of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Connie Koch and husband Paul of Cadet, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Marina Madsen, Colin Madsen, Benjamen Trueblood; three step great-grandchildren, Timothy Craig, Kristen Koch and Erin Koch; also surviving is her faithful canine companion, Cobie, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many many friends. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ben Eubanks and one sister, Imogene Marler.

Dorothy attended the Potosi United Methodist Church of Potosi, Missouri where she enjoyed working and decorating for any and all occasions. She worked for the State of Missouri for many years as a Vision Tester and also at the Old Hotel Restaurant. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, crocheting and making all types of crafts. She was a strong Democrat, a member of the Democrat Club and worked tirelessly for many candidates. Dorothy enjoyed the many hours she spent talking to her C.B. friends who knew her as “Draggin Lady” and was a long time member of the Teddy Bear Club. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the many lives she has touched.

Visitation was held Friday, March 28, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri and Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Potosi United Methodist Church, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Potosi United Methodist Church, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Jerry Compton officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Michael King, Donnie Laramore, Johnny Laramore, John Koch, Timothy Craig, Jerry West and honorary pallbearer, Paul Koch.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Marler-Sitton Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
