Margie Evans of Potosi, Missouri was born on Saturday, October 10, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri a daughter of the late, Margaret L. (Enz) Stevens and William T. Stevens. Margie departed this life on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at her residence having reached the age of sixty-seven years, eleven months and twenty-five days.

Margie was united in marriage to Fred Evans on May 21, 1980 in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Margie is survived by husband, Fred Evans of Potosi, Missouri, two daughters, Kim Asher of Gray Summit, Missouri, Theresa Sickinger of St. Louis, Missouri; one son, Richard Asher of St. Louis, Missouri; one half brother, Bruce Barnes and wife, Lorraine of Stanton, Missouri; six grandchildren: Curtis, Anthony, Joshua, Amber, Alex and Dale; very close friends, Jim and Carol Lanzafame of Cadet, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and many friends.

Margie enjoyed spending time with her many friends and listening to old time rock and roll music. She collected precious moments figurines and loved going bowling as often as possible. Margie also enjoyed watching and attending stockcar racing and caring for her many animals. She loved to watch all types of animal shows, investigative and court TV programs. Margie enjoyed working at local restaurants, and considered the patrons as her close friends. She will be remembered by her outward love and friendship to all.

Visitation was held Friday, October 8, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Friday, October 8, 2010 at 12:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Reverend Joe Welschmeyer officiating. Honoring Margie by serving as pallbearers were: Richard Asher, Curtis Gunn, Anthony Francis, Joshua Gunn, Alex Sickinger and Dale Wysong.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Peter’s Cemetery, Kirkwood, Missouri.

Memorials may be directed to Safe Harbor Hospice, 101 Kingsbury Blvd., Fredericktown, Missouri 63645-7959.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
