Marvin James Fandrich, Sr. of Rolla, Missouri was born on Tuesday, May 1, 1945 in Harvey, North Dakota a son of the late, Gust A. Fandrich and the late, Ann M. (Munsch) Fandrich. Marvin departed this life on Friday, August 14, 2015at the Lebanon South Nursing Home in Lebanon, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-years, three months and thirteen days.
He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Marie Hoagland of Rolla, Missouri; Melody J. Messex of Rolla, Missouri; five sons, Marvin Fandrich, Jr. of Rolla, Missouri; Mark Allen Fandrich of Clinton, Tennessee; Kelly Lee Fandrich of Holts Summit, Missouri; Michael Justin and wife, Joanna Fandrich of Waynesville, Missouri; Anthony Thomas Davis of Vida, Missouri; one sister, Marlys and husband, Roy Roberts of Fort Collins, Colorado; one brother, Merlyn and wife, Janet Fandrich of Englewood, Colorado; former wife and current soulmate, Rhonda Fandrich of Rolla, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and many friends.
Watching westerns and wrestling on T.V. was just a couple of his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and playing with his dogs. He loved to work on vehicles with his sons and grilling, especially steaks for family gatherings. Everyone will remember Marvin for his signature corn cob pipe. Marvin will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Visitation was held 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, Monday, August 24, 2015 with Pastor Dan Kemp officiating at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
Final prayers and burial took place in the Horine Cemetery, Richwoods, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Michael Fandrich, Kelly Fandrich, Mark Fandrich, Jimmy Fandrich, Anthony Davis, Vicki McGrath and Ray Rubezak II.
Services were entrusted to the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi.
