Finis "Lucky" Dee

    Finis "Lucky" Dee, a hard worker and a loving family man, passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on June 4, 1944, in Hopewell, Missouri, a son to the late Thomas Dee, Sr. and Hilda Dee.

   Lucky had many proudest accomplishments throughout his life, but being a father, grandfather, and great grandfather held a special place in his heart. He cherished spending time with his family and embraced every moment with them. Lucky is survived by his son, Scott DeClue and wife Lacey; Sisters Ruth McAllister and Carol Caballero; Brothers; John Dee, Dennis Dee and wife Jane, and Ronnie Dee. He is also survived by his grandchild Kaitlynn DeClue, Beverly Steele, Hayley DeClue who were very dear to him as well Kevin Boyer, Jr., Braxton “S.J.” Boyer, Laylynn Boyer, Madalynn Rawe and Jaylee Rawe. Great-grandchildren, Raelynn Steele, Kyler Steele and Cove Steele. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many other dear and special friends.

    In addition to his immediate family, Lucky also survived by dear friends Sandra and Travis as well as Rosie Collins. Lucky was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Lewis, Fay Hill, Betty Estes; brothers, Frank, Stanley, Russell, Charlie; a great granddaughter Leah Steele as well as dear friends Arville and Brenda DeClue.

   Besides Lucky's dedication to his family, he had a passion for wood working and spent countless hours perfecting his craftsmanship. He served in the United States Navy from 1965-1969, and proudly displayed his patriotism all his life. He also enjoyed going to flee markets, finding unique treasures, and engaging with the community. Lucky had a knack for finding beauty in the simple things in life and was content spending time with loved ones.

    Lucky's warm personality, strong work ethic, and genuine love for his family and friends will be deeply missed. We remember him fondly and celebrate the impact he had on those around him. In this time of grief, let us come together to honor his everlasting memory.
