Virgilene Ina Forinash
Virgilene Ina Forinash of Raytown, Missouri formerly of Irondale, Missouri was born on Wednesday, July 19, 1911 in Bismarck, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Harry Montgomery and Alta (Penberthy) Montgomery. Virgilene departed this life on Saturday, September 24, 2005 at her residence having reached the age of ninety-four years, two months, and five days.
Virgilene is survived by one son, Harry Ragsdale of Greenville, Missouri, three daughters, Mary Lou Ellis of Raytown, Missouri, Dorothy Barbee of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Anita Keeth of Lebanon, Missouri, two brothers, Leo Montgomery and wife Geraldine of Farmington, Missouri, Jack Montgomery and wife Sally of Branson, Missouri, four sisters, Leotha Hardy and husband Huber of Potosi, Missouri, Norma Jean Hopp and husband Hoppie of Fayetteville, Illinois, Ruby Dix and husband Bob of Potaka, Illinois, Frankie Conway and husband Leon of Pevely, Missouri, also surviving are eleven grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and fifteen great great grandchildren. Virgilene was preceded in death by her husbands, Lowell Ragsdale, Harold Shadion, and Glen Forinash, her parents, three brothers, Elmo Montgomery, Edmond Montgomery, and Ernest Montgomery, one sister, Elmyra Bear, one grandson, Robert Ragsdale, and one great grandchild.
Virgilene was a longtime member of the Irondale United Methodist Church and the Irondale Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed Jolly Mixers and square dancing. Most of all Virgilene loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Virgilene was a very kind and generous woman who will be missed deeply by all of her family and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, September 27, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, September 28, 2005 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the Irondale Methodist Church in Irondale, Missouri, with Reverend Gwen Trullinger officiating.
Burial took place at the Big River Cemetery in Irondale, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 104 Oak Street, Irondale, Missouri.
