Billy Ray French of Irondale, Missouri was born on Saturday, May 12, 1934 in Belgrade, Missouri. A son of the late, Daisy (Camden) French and the late, Chester Glenwood French. Billy departed this life on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee having reached the age of eighty-two years, three months and seven days.
He was united in marriage to Kathleen (Ruble) French on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Bismarck, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife,- Kathleen French of Lafayette, Tennessee; two daughters, Carol and husband, Herb Wirth of Imperial, Missouri; Cindy Stephens of Logans Port, Indiana; two sons, Michael French of St. Louis, Missouri; Jerry French of House Springs, Missouri; two step-sons, Anthony and wife, Diana Queen of Lafayette, Tennessee; Robert and wife, Jennifer Queen of Leadwood, Missouri; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Dejarles.
Billy worked as a supervisor for the ground department at the St. Louis Board of Education. He enjoyed gardening and loved his Harley. Billy's light of his life was his dog Minnie who preceded him in death in October 2015 he since has loved caring for Louie, his baby pup. Billy will be very deeply missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
Funeral Service was at 4:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri with Pastor Mike Barton officiating.
Burial was in the Caledonia Methodist Cemetery in Caledonia, Missouri.
Services were entrusted under the care and direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, MO 63664.
