Leda Doris Gaines (Faupel)

Leda Doris (Faupel) Gaines of Potosi was born October 24, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter to the late Raymond Faupel and Geraldine (Godt) Faupel. Leda departed this life Saturday, October 2, 2021 having reached the age of 68 years, 11 months and 8 days.
On May 10, 1974, Leda was united in marriage to Rick Gaines and they happily raised their children and were blessed with 47 years together.
Leda is survived by her loving husband, Rick; daughter, Angela Poehl of St. Peters, Missouri, sons, Rickey Gaines, Jr. and Tim Thompson of Farmington, Jeff Gaines and wife Karrie of Potosi; sister, Sheila Kirn and husband Michael of Barnhart, Missouri; brother, Gregory Faupel and wife Julie of Carbondale, Illinois; grandchildren, Cadin, Emily, Jaidlynn, Izzy, Addie, Jackson, Keagan and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
In addition to her parents, Leda was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Faupel.
Leda’s number one priority was her family and she loved them with all her heart. She enjoyed traveling and seeing new places and cooking big meals to share with those she loved. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother who loved spoiling her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the All Occasions Hall in Park Hills, Missouri at 2PM
All services were under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri.
