Charles L. Gallaher
Charles L. Gallaher of Belgrade, Missouri was born on Thursday, November 9, 1939 in Black, Missouri. A son of the late Roy Clarence Gallaher and Goldie Marie (Trollinger) Gallaher. Charles departed this life on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at the Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Festus, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-seven years and twenty days.
Charles was united in marriage to Dorine Lois Jenkins on August 13, 1960 in Belleview, Missouri. This union was blessed with five daughters.
Charles is survived by his five daughters, Charlene Gallaher of Potosi, Missouri, Darlene Graves and husband Jeff of Potosi, Missouri, Vikkie Neier and husband Jeff of Caledonia, Missouri, Sue Lewis and husband Leonard of Caledonia, Missouri, Janice Gallaher and Eric Davis of Belgrade, Missouri, Sister Marcia Trokey of Farmington, Missouri; two brothers, Sam Gallaher and wife Betty of Belleview, Missouri, Donald Gallaher and wife Darlene of Caledonia, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Dorine Gallaher, brother, Tom Gallaher and brother-in-law, Ron Trokey.
Charles enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their high school sport games. He also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals play. Charles was a bus driver for the Valley Caledonia School District for many years and loved spending time with all the students. He enjoyed going to Wal-Mart to walk, visit and just watch the people from the community.
Visitation was held Sunday, December 3, 2006 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Monday, December 4, 2006 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Monday, December 4, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Myron Laramore officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were John Gallaher, Bill Gallaher, Donnie Gallaher, Jamie Skaggs, Cody Nichols and Murlin Graves.
Final Prayers and Burial Took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
