Gail Blake Ginger of Tiff, Missouri was born January 14, 1940 in Cotton Plant, Arkansas a son to the late Timothy Ginger and Lettie Ann (Stewart) Ginger. Gail departed this life Sunday, October 31, 2021 having reached the age of 81 years, 9 months and 17 days.
On February 14, 1973, Gail was united in marriage to the late Mary Elaine (Aubuchon) Ginger and they shared 45 years and many wonderful memories together. Mary preceded Gail in death on November 5, 2018.
Gail is survived by his daughters, Germaine Chesnut and husband Larry of St. Louis, Missouri, Glenda Savala of St. Peters, Missouri, Cassandra Harden and husband Ernest of St. Louis, Missouri, Melanie Underwood and husband Bryce of Tiff, Missouri; son, Patrick Ginger and wife Kandice of Phoenix, Arizona; sisters, Jeweline Ginger of St. Louis, Missouri, Lattie Mae Moore of St. Louis, Missouri, Ornell Carter of St. Louis, Missouri, Irene Smith of St. Louis, Missouri; brothers, Luther Ginger and wife Sandra of St. Louis, Missouri, Calvin Ginger and wife Barbara of St. Louis, Missouri; 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear and special friends.
In addition to his parents and loving wife, Gail was preceded in death by his brothers, Wavell Ginger, J.L Ginger, Roosevelt Ginger and his sister, Emma Jean Johnson.
Gail was a hard worker and did not quit until the sun went down. He worked many years as a Machinist/Book Binder at Universal Printing Company in St. Louis, MO. One of his favorite hobbies was carpentry and he could build anything he designed from furniture and cabinets to the home in which he and his family resided. As an outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and helping his wife maintain the beautiful garden admired by all who visited. At one point, he even tried his hand at ranching, fulfilling his dream of raising cattle on the family property. The center of his life was his family and he loved them with his whole heart. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle. His memory will forever be cherished by those who loved him.
