Virginia Lee Gist (Cordia)

Virginia Lee (Cordia) Gist of Osage Beach, MO, formerly of Potosi, was born July 14, 1934 in Potosi, MO a daughter to the late David Stephen Cordia and Alberta Ruth (Chazelle) Cordia. Virginia departed this life Wednesday November 6, 2019 having reached the age of 85 years, 3 months and 23 days.
Virginia is survived by her two daughters, Sheila Davis of Osage Beach, MO, Krissy Wegmann and husband Paul of Crestwood, MO; three sisters: Jean Goodman and husband Jack of Camdenton, MO, Corliss Butler and husband Don of Sullivan, MO, Helen Walton and husband Bob of St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Douglas Cordia and wife Joni of O’Fallon, MO, Charles Cordia and wife Pat of High Ridge, MO; four grandchildren: Shelby Davis of Ballwin, MO, Charlotte Wegmann of Crestwood, MO, Brendan Wegmann of Crestwood, MO and Zoe Wegmann of Crestwood, MO.
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lewis and Phyllis Dean; one brother, Michael J. Cordia
Virginia was a vibrant spirit and loved to laugh and have a good time. She loved the lake life and being on the water. She enjoyed playing golf, water skiing, swimming and watching the picturesque sun rises and sun sets over the mirror like water from her home. Most of all, her family was most important. Sitting down with the family for big holiday and Sunday dinners was what she cherished most of all. Her fun loving, and good sense of humor will be missed by the many lives she touched.
