Matthew Vincent Goff
Matthew Goff of DeSoto, Missouri was born on Friday, February 24, 1989 in Festus, Missouri and departed this life on Thursday, June 21, 2007 having reached the age of eighteen years, three months and twenty-eight days.
Matthew is survived by his loving mother and father, Cindy and Joseph Vincent Goff of DeSoto, Missouri; one brother, Brian Joseph Goff and wife Amanda of Cadet, Missouri; girlfriend, Vanessa Ann Parks of Chelsea, Oklahoma; maternal grandmother, Edna Merseal of DeSoto, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Annette Goff of Cadet, Missouri; also surviving are aunts, uncles, cousins, many other relatives, dear and special friends and the Parks family and friends from Chelsea, Oklahoma. Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James “Jim” Merseal and paternal grandfather, Aaron Goff.
Matthew was a 2007 graduate of North County High School. He enjoyed attending and being active in his church Calvary Holiness. Matthew loved playing baseball, softball, football and all sports. He also enjoyed going fishing and four wheeling with his family and friends. Matthew was a very kind hearted person who will be very deeply missed by the many lives he has touched.
Visitation was held Sunday, June 24, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Monday, June 25, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Monday, June 25, 2007 at 12:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Brother Jay O’Neial officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Caleb Parks, Ben Parks, Thomas Parks, Brian Goff, Justin O’Neal and Troy O’Neal. Memorials may be directed to the Family for distribution to Churches in memory of Matthew.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
